I think that working online and finding coupons for different kinds of stores is a very smart and creative idea. That way you are ahead of the game, and get discounts on per say clothing, food, appliances, electronics. Anything you may find appealing. I think by doing this, you will find yourself better prepared and ready for Black Friday!

Growing up online- Arianna Anderson

Part One: At home i use the internet for many things, such like research sources(Google), social networking sites (Facebook), online shopping sites, and many others.  When I am at school, i use it depending on the class i am in.  Whatever class it may be, i use it as a resource for things i may need to look up or for homework that needs to be done.  When I am on the internet at  home, i look up songs for my ipod (Itunes), Facebook, Resources for homework, or even an online shopping store.

No matter what the circumstance is, you must always know your internet safety, beware of things like cyberbulling, confidential information given out through internet, haackers, giving out passwords to email accounts, social networking sites, and online order forms, anything unusual you may not become familiar with, stay far away from it.  If you are being being bullied from online uses, or even through school, let someone know; a teacher, parent, friend, so that way they can help you.

2. In the beginning of the program, the narrator states that Morris County N.J. could be anywhere throughout America, 90% of teens are usually online, and the numbers a vastly growing.  I agree with this statement because this is very true.  Today, teens  are on the computer for homework related uses, social networking sites, games, anything.  Usually wasting their time on sites like Facebook because its so addicting and attracting; when they could be doing something useful with their lives like going out and getting a job, going to school, work, making money, instead of spending up most of the day wasting their time on the internet.  In my opinion, it's part of laziness when you could be doing something useful for yourself which could later end up making you very successful.
Yes, i would have to agree, it is very much like my community.

Part two: In school, they have allowed many classes to use technology like computers, digital medias, and much more to approved of in the future.  Depending on the class, you could computers for looking up research in anything.  Mainly all the core classes like Math, English, Science, History, or any different classes that could refer to using the internet.
It is also okay for students to use other technologies such like digital medias.  Here at PPHS, we have a photography class that allows you to use cameras, and buy many other neat accessories that may be needed for that class.  It is an optional class by your option.

Part three: One girl from the program stated that a Myspace or Facebook is much like having your own online page about you and your own personal space.  It is much like having a locker, a bedroom, diary, anything that is kept to yourself, about you, or even describes you.  A diary and bedroom are similar as to a facebook/myspace because it is a place about you and only you.  It describes you, and what kind of person you are.
2. I chose The girls who were fighting in the video, The person who recorded it and uploaded it, and the students in the school.  I chose these because these 3 groups are all similar in some way.  There was a person who had a video and wanted to record of two girls fighting, then that way they can post it up to any local or social networking websites so viewers, peers, and students could watch it.  All working together as a team in a negative way isnt a positive way of thinking overall as a good perspective on life.  Yet there are some differences because maybe there girls didnt have a whole organization together to record the video, they could have done it thereselves, and posted it so other viewers could see it, not knowing what they would have expected of it.

Part four: There are some cons and pros about the situation of being a celebrity, famous, or showing pictures/videos of yourself or someone else on the internet to be seen all from around the world.  The bad thing about this, is that people you may not know might actually know a lot about you, "stalk" you from internet sites, look at any pictures and videos of you that you may not even be aware of.  Always be safe and know the consequences of something before you do it. But, on the plus side, people can research you for things much like a project, do a biography on that person,  and could even become a role model of a celebrity or famous person. These are a few typical cons and pros that could be useful later to yourself and someone else.

Part five:  In my opinion, i think its a great idea that parents are monitoring their children on different internet sites, and checking up to make sure their child isn't getting into trouble or danger, and doing the right things on the internet by knowing your own personal safety.  For example, I have a facebook and my dad has one as well, always occasionally checking up on me and making sure im not getting into trouble, saying vulger things, and mainly just staying safe.

Part 6:  In my opinion, even though i haven't experienced an online relationship, i believe they are not safe, and would much rather meet someone through person than not knowing whose on the other side of that computer screen assuming its the person you "know" from JUST the computer.  Have a better plan, and just remember safety is always the key.  \

Part seven: Have i ever thought about disconnecting from it all?
Yes, i have.  When i first thought about that, i alomost freaked out! I dont think i can go a day without my cell phone! In my opinion i think it is very important to keep in touch and have a cell phone so your parents, boyfriend/girlfriend, family members, friends, know where you are at all times.  The internet on the other hand i could probably go without because im not on it that much.  But i always remember safety is first, and to make sure im doing the right thing.
