1. My reflection on Flat Classroom Projects is that it is a collaborative, interactive, communitive site that is used as a way of communication from all parts of the world. For the Flat Classroom Project, I was assigned with the group of Connecting the World from online. My task was to research ways of communicating across the world through online resources, and post up my information by creating it into a presentation slide. Flat Classroom Project was used in a good way because it was a helpful way of connecting with people from all areas around the world. Flat Classroom was also not good because, the layout of the site is as if it were a "Myspace or Facebook". It contains information about you, your age, school, what you are "thinking" at the moment, your friends, and a lot of confidential information that should not be allowed on online resources for people to see. Flat Class Room could be improved by finding a better way of communicating with your partners from online because during my project, i found it very hard to communicate and stay in touch with my partners, and got very little information from them.
2. My favorite internet tool used in class was the ability to make your own website. When we created our websites, we had the access to getting any kind of information we found to include into it. The topics i researched were Strawberrys and Monkeys. I find both topics very interesting and fun! I ended up finding out a lot of information about each individual topic more than i have ever known before! I thought that was a great project to do because not only does it help you retain new information, you can actually enjoy what you are doing and have fun!
3. I think the subjects that we have discussed in class will be very useful in and out of school. We have talked about internet safety, to not plagarize, helpful ways of researching topics, locating places, communicating with friends, family, and people from all around the world, how to create your own website-if someday you make an online store and create items and gadgets to put on there, and much more! All of these items will become very helpful and useful in the future.
4. Collaboration to me, means connecting and coming together to work on a project, event, or whatever it may be. I believe it is helpful because it brings people from across the world working with someone from a different country, or even the U.S. It makes you realize how important it is to work together as one, make sure you get things done on the deadline, gathering information, and how communicating can par take in such an important role throughout this world.
5. I believe the internet 10-15 years from now will affect who we are as citizens of the world. I believe it will affect us in a good way. Computers and Cellphones didnt come out until the 20th century. Now as you look today, people are communicating and using the internet through their phones, on the computers, and everywhere around us. As of today, our world is up to technology, but 10-15 years from now, i guarantee there will be more gadgets dealing with online internet sources aiding with a school project, financially, reasearch, shopping, word documents, emailing, social media sites, and so much more! When collaborating online a lot of things may get in the way. Such as: If your on a school project wensite like Flat classroom project, and your awaiting for a partners request so you can be there friend, and they never confirm, that could put you behind and you may not be able to par take in the project any further because you dont have that information you need from them.
6. I believe it is very important to cite your information that you get from other cites because you dont want to be caught or accused of plaigarism.
7. You could set your confidential information on private on any social meida site or when you apply to buy something on a website, dont put out any information about where you live or how much money you have on the internet, dont give out your number, and more importantly dont talk to strangers, be smart!!!

In this experiment, it shows you how much and how many different kinds of candies. Every type of candy has a set temperature of what it has to be, and it can be made. It also gives you tips and information of the individual candy you are experimenting or on any other candies you would like to research.

Today i researched about my topic, Connecting the World Online. Globalization is a very important key when relating to connecting the world online. Countries from all around the world can use this tool to communicate with eachother. FCP introduction
My name is Arianna, I am 15 years old and a sophomore at Pleasant Plains HighSchool. I live in Springfield, Illinois. I love playing soccer and enjoy dancing for our school poms team. Life in Springfield, Illinois is however you want to see it, you are mainly independent and on your own for most things, unless family members and friends, but everyone is very friendly and willing to help for anything.
Collaborating with other students from around the world will definitely be different, yet i think it will be a fun experience, and a chance to see how others from around the world live.
Some advantages could be if you live close, you can always rely on them if you need help, and have them come over at your house or a "meeting" place to talk about the project and do it together as a team.
Some disadvantages could be that you dont live as close, and cant really rely on that person mainly because they live half way around the world, and your not familiar with who they are.
Some new skills i can learn is communication.

The World is Flat Chapters
Chapter 1: Through Jerry Freidman, he has helped organize globalization and process of information exchange online and the effect it has on businesses to perform various duties from remote locations with everything from tax preparation to hair appointment scheduling to hospital bookings cited as examples of outsourcing. I agree with Friedmans theory, with all of the following.
Chapter 2: Ten forces that flattened the world.

These forces started out with the Collapse of the Berlin Wall,symbolizing the Cold War and ending with The Steroids, digital devices that help become very useful around the world when communicating with others globally.
Chapter 3: More globalization throughout different parts of countries were opened so internet use was very helpful and useful to the people of the world. GLobalization had opened from all boreders, allowing for faster and cheaper development of more planes as Friedman demonstrates the need for individuals and businesses to be able to compete in a global marketplace.
Chapter 4: Freiman calls for a reality check as we explore the manner in which countries and societies will cope with and adapt to the dramatic changes that globalization brings to the way we do business, as individuals and entities. Freidman uses an examination of intellectual property of law meaning to put in place to protect other countries and how they interact with globalization.
Chapter 5: Friedman considers the banning of outsourcing, an action called for by many, to protect our country’s workers and the effect such an action would have on globalization. He also talks a bout how globalization might be considered a problem or better yet a good thing for people around the world, yet globalizatoin.
Chapter 6: The untouchables” is explored in detail as he identifies three broad categories of workers who will have job security in the flat world. Synthesizers, explainers, leveragers, versatilists and more are identified and explained as career options or stratagies for preparing positions.
Chapter 7: He explores the "right stuff" meaning educational requirements needed in the flattened world, and the availability used in our current area, or more importantly around the world, globally.
Chapter 8: A quiet crisis is happening slowly but surely as multiple and complex forces are at work creating the perfect storm; demographic, political, social, cultural, economic, leading america to fall behind in science and other technologies. Also exploring the differences with the quiet crisis and preparing ourselves for the future into motion before we are left behind.
Chpater 9: I agree with Friedman that he is completely right. I agree that not a lot of people are willing to go from across the world to communicate with others from globalization rather than just do it from there own home.
Chapter 10: I agree that countries are competing with business. Different countries are on the rise of competing throughout many things each day.
Chapter 11: Friedman opines that companies willing to change and accept change are more likely to do things than have things done to them. I disagree because just becayse you accept that fact of change, doesnt mean you dont expet change to be done to you.
Chapter 12: The Unflat World is about Friedman sharing stories of the world flattening but announces that he does indeed realize the world is not yet flat. He wants to draw attention to the flattening and the increasing pace at which it is occurring. Part of this understanding must come from a recognization of factors that are preventing globalization from occurring in some people.

Flattening the World

In the first video i watched, Mobiles in our Life, it shows how cellphones and other technologies used for communication are very important and can be used everywhere throughout the world, even at school education. I think it is unfair that they get to use cellphones during school because no phones are allowed to be used at our school, only during lunch hours. It is especially important to have cellphones on you incase of an emergency, or urgent cases. I believe it should be necessary and allowed to have cellphones at school.
In the second video i watched, Connecting the World, shows that the internet is much more than just Facebook or Myspace, rather than social network sites. There's more ways to connect to the world rather than online, explore and find out different ways on your own. I think that this is a good idea because there's much more to the world than social networking sites, adventure and find out how and what ways to connect around the world.

The world would be disconnected from communication, transports, emails, research and much more. Global Uses of the Internet from 1996 and 2010. Arianna Anderson A4
From 1996 until 2010, the internet relates and differs from over time through the past 14 years. It reflects on both different ages through time, determining how many countries used access to the internet, what they used it for, what it looked like from the past as of now, how fast the internet was capable of going, what major wed browsers were used, and what types of Communication Tools were available.
During 1996, most countries throughout the world used the internet, but not all of them. 100% of North America had access, about 98% of South America, 20% of Africa, 100% of Australia, and about 98% of Europe.
Compared to todays generation, the internet is used from all around the world, more than 195 countries have access to it. People in 1996 used it for allowing people and their networks to work with eachother, share ideas and comments to collaberate, to become a social and professional online network. The internet used today enhances, improves, and brings into existence many of these forms of communication.
Back in 1996, the internet was dull, "dead" looking, nothing to that seemed too appealing.
